The purpose of this book is to bring a better understandingn of how marriages that claim to be in Jesus, have to be more clear about their purpose for marriage in Jesus. If we are to be married according to the way that God has purposed it, we have to make sure that we are abiding in the very life of Jesus Christ as our source of life and love and purpose.
Larry Cochran examines the meaning of a sense of vocation as it is lived over the course of a life. By studying more than twenty autobiographies of people who clearly had a mission in life, the author identifies commonalities and weaves them into a general story or plot. The common story involves a detailed description of four phases of life from childhood through old age. It illustrates how a significant form that unifies desire arises in you...
The ability of the Christian to live this life is very dependent upon what they understand to be reading and learning from the bible. In the original book "Love, An Essential Journey, An Essential Proof", I tried to point out that love is a requirement for the Christian. In this book I tie that reality to the very first Sermon that Jesus Christ preached. He went on later in his ministry to explicitly say that love fulfills the law.
This book is not an attempt to tell anyone what to study, but simply to point out the importance of studying if we are to show ourselves willing and able to carry out the mission of preaching the gospel.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. In this book I hope to expose sin as I expose my inner battle with sin. We can work together to defeat sin for the glory of God. We overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony.
Love is not a topic that people look at when it comes to war and warfare, but it really should be. The Christian is commanded to love God and their neighbor, but too many have thrown away this weapon in hopes of fighting with the same tools the world uses. That is a big mistake when it is not just a weapon. Love is an essential proof of salvation and it is the entire journey of the Christian.

?Cochran's basic premise is that people should enhance the vitality of their stances or positions through the behaviors they enact. Various philosophical, sociological, and psychological perspectives are considered but the author adopts a primarily humanistic orientation and is critical of the behavioristic viewpoint. Cochran's purpose is not to provide an overview of psychological theories of personality, but rather to offer a certain specifi...
Seeking to restore a holistic approach to the study of the person, Professor Cochran explores and refines an innovative method of analysis based on the use of dramaturgical concepts. The author's approach reflects a dissatisfaction, shared by many in the field of personology, with the fragmented view of the person that typically emerges from quantitative, statistically based studies. His own method offers alternative ways of conducting researc...
